PT Ceria Nugraha Indotama (Ceria) is a mining company established on March 18, 1991 based on Notarial Deed number 29 issued by Mestariany Habie, Bachelor of Law, in Ujung Pandang or Makassar, Indonesia. At present, Ceria is fully owned by Indonesian share holder. In 2011, Ceria obtained a mining area with the size of 6785 hectares at Lapaopao Block through winning the auction as organized by the Indonesian Government. The affirmation of the winner of this auction was set forth in the Kolaka Regent’s Decree number 327 after which Ceria defeated 71 nationals and international companies participated in the auction.

Clear and Clean Certificate was received on November 8, 2013 with certificate number 817/Min/12/2013. License of Registered Exporter for Mining Products number 175/DAGLU/ET-TAMBANG/11/2012 was obtained on November 29, 2013; the first Export Permit Letter (SPE) number 1378/30/DJB/2017 was received on July 4, 2017, and the second Export Permit Letter with the number 1775/30.01/DJB/2018 was received on October 26, 2018. The mining activities of Ceria is complemented by the Environmental License (AMDAL: ANDAL, RKL-RPL) which approved in 2013 by the Government through the Kolaka Regent’s Decree number 113. Ceria is finishing the construction of nickel ore smelting and processing plant with Rectangular Rotary-kiln Electric Furnace (RKEF) to produce ferronickel (FeNi) and is developing processing plant for nickel and cobalt with High-Pressure Acid Leaching (HPAL) technology to produce the raw material for batteries. The location of the project is in the Sub-District of Wolo, Kolaka Regency, South East Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. Kolaka can be reached through air transportation from Makassar and Kendari. The flight from Makassar to Pomalaa is within 50 minutes. The land transportation from Pomalaa to the mine site is within 2 hours.
